Salary: $60.00 USD Hourly – $65.00 USD Hourly

Description: About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled Data Engineer with hands-on experience in Azure-based data solutions. In this role, you’ll design and implement scalable data architectures, drive cloud automation, and contribute to enterprise-wide data strategy. You’ll collaborate across teams to treat data as a strategic asset and enable high-impact business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data architecture and pipelines in Azure.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Ansible Tower, Jenkins, or Puppet.
  • Administer and configure API Gateways (e.g., Apigee, Kong).
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and optimize deployment workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve engineering tools, systems, and data security.
  • Draft architectural diagrams, interface specifications, and design documentation.
  • Contribute to the development and communication of data strategy and roadmaps.
  • Promote reuse of data assets and manage data catalogs.
  • Mentor team members on data principles, patterns, and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Top skills: azure data bricks, python, and spark
  • 2 years of experience in automation and production systems (e.g., Ansible Tower, Jenkins, Puppet, Selenium).
  • Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with software development methodologies and SDLC.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud-native data platforms and services in Azure.
  • Familiarity with API management and integration design.
  • Ability to define migration plans and drive digital innovation.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
