IT Auditor II

Location: Austin, TX

Salary: $50.00 USD Hourly – $65.00 USD Hourly

Description:

Key Responsibilities

Review vendor contracts, SLAs, and cybersecurity obligations

Assess technical and administrative safeguards against industry standards

Analyze security policies, configurations, logs, and access records

Conduct interviews with vendor personnel

Perform control testing and identify gaps or risks

Draft audit reports and track remediation efforts

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address vendor risks

Minimum Qualifications

5 years in cybersecurity frameworks & compliance (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC 2)

5 years in technical IT auditing (network, IAM, endpoint, incident response)

5 years in audit reporting and vendor engagement

5 years in risk analysis and investigative thinking

4 years in third-party/vendor risk auditing

3 years in policy and documentation review

Preferred Qualifications

3 years in cloud security auditing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)

3 years in incident response and breach assessment

3 years in contract/SLA compliance review

2 years in government or regulated industry auditing

2 years presenting technical findings to non-technical audiences

1 year with certifications (CISA, CISSP, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor)
