Role: System Engineer

Location: Urbana, MD(Onsite)

Type: Contract

Duration: 6+ Months
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Windows/Linux servers and VMware environments.

  • Oversee installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

  • Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.

  • Implement security, patching, and disaster recovery.

  • Maintain backup and recovery systems.

  • Provide documentation and mentor junior administrators.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s in CS, IT, or related field.

  • 8 10+ years in server/system administration.

  • Strong expertise in Windows, Linux, VMware, Azure/AWS.

  • Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash).

  • Enterprise monitoring tool experience (SolarWinds, Nagios).

  • Relevant certifications (Microsoft, RHCE, VMware, CompTIA).

Preferred Skills:

  • Financial services/insurance domain experience.

  • ITIL framework knowledge.

  • Exposure to Docker/Kubernetes and hybrid cloud.

  • Vendor management experience.
