Job Description Sr Mfg Engineer and Supervisor Location Coamo Municipio, PR :

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS PCD division is currently seeking a Sr Mfg Engineer and Supervisor.

What you’ll do:

Primary Functions:

Identifies and implements strategies to improve productivity and quality of product lines under assigned responsibilities. Responsible to lead operations for hourly employees and the inherent ability to recognize and act upon challenges and situations that contribute to success in manufacturing operations. Also, responsible to drive continuous improvements on high five metrics (Safety, Quality, Customer Services – On-time delivery, Productivity, Inventory Control) and other cost measures through use of the Eaton Business System.

Essential Functions:

  • Complies with the established procedures related to safety, quality, warranty, services, etc.
  • Lead the Mfg Engineering Initiatives for Assembly Area and Implements new projects.
  • Trains personnel as required.
  • Interfaces with Process Engineer to solve situations with non-conforming self-manufactured parts for the products of responsibility.
  • Interfaces with Project Engineers in the implementation of new projects and technology.
  • Provides the necessary tools and equipment and makes sure these are well maintained.
  • Lead your team through the Continuous Improvement Framework process and use of ELSS tools to continuously improve operational performance. Participate in other CI Teams and conduct Kaizen events as appropriate and collaborate with the other Manufacturing Supervisors to schedule overtime and execute to labor plan.
  • Coach employees one-on-one to address performance issues, drive accountability, establish and maintain a positive work environment. Engaged employees through application of Eaton’s Leadership model, Ethics.
  • Evaluates employees’ performance.
  • Identifies and facilitates training opportunities.
  • Makes sure the company is in compliance with the Quality Plan at all times.
  • Identifies cost reduction opportunities as well as maintains high productivity levels.
  • Selects and trains personnel as needed.
  • Provides a safe environment for all employees, Implement EHS Initiavies.
  • Assures the company policies are met based on Eaton’s Leadership Modelm Aspirational Goals and Ethics Code Compliance
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product, and suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of the department.
  • Must be a proactive, dynamic, high energy, results-focused individual with strong leadership skills.

LI-DS1 Qualifications:

Specialized Knowledge:Knowledge which your position requires.

Minimum Education: Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related field. Minimum Experience: Three years of experience in Engineering experience.

  • Excellent communication skills. Communicates well both verbally and in writing, creates accurate and punctual reports, delivers presentations, shares information and ideas with others.
