We encourage all applicants to upload a resume and cover letter.Qualifications Required Education Bachelor’s degree.Required Experience Ten years in senior (executive) leadership roles, administration, or program administration and experience with uniformed military services.Preferred Qualifications Advanced Degree, Doctor of Philosophy in Military Strategy, or equivalent.More than ten years of related senior leadership experience including direct personnel supervision.Prior experience teaching or working in or with US military service academies and officer training.Military service with a rank of Lt. Colonel or higher.Demonstrated ability to obtain security clearance.Familiarity with university budgets, policies, rules & regulations.Knowledge of academic programs and graduate-level student services in public and/or international affairs.Demonstrated ability to quickly develop strong familiarity and coherence with the programs, offerings, and people of the Bush School.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of academic programs and graduate-level student services.Skilled in spreadsheet and word processing.Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.Strong communication (both oral and written), organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.Demonstrated ability to develop, direct, deliver and assess strategic plans.Additional Information Machines or equipment used in the performance of essential dutiesComputer – 25 hours; Telephone — 5 hours; Printer — 3 hoursPhysical Requirements NoneOther Requirements and FactorsThis position is security sensitiveThis position requires compliance with state and federal laws/codes and Texas A&M University System/TAMU policies, regulations, rules and proceduresAll tasks and job responsibilities must be performed safely without injury to self or others in compliance with System and University safety requirementsThe position is contingent upon continued funding.Must be a US Citizen.Essential Duties and TaskOperations Oversight:Serves as a liaison and coordinates working relationships with academic and non-academic units. Serves as an advisor / consultant to the University / College community regarding matters related to National Security Leadership training. Develops, directs, and evaluates program / process compliance and internal controls. Provides information and reporting to the Dean and college administration. Ensures compliance with contract standards, and participates in required trainings, record keeping and professional development sessions. Leads the development and oversight of communications and promotions.CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT:Oversee curriculum development and execution.LEADERESHIP AND INTEGRATION:Serves as primary point of contact, provides direction to involved personnel, and coordinates among partners. Acts as a representative of the Dean of the Bush School as appropriate. Responsible for fiscal oversight, effective budget management and compliance with university rules, processes and procedures.STRATEGIC INITIATIVES AND PLANNING:Engage in strategic planning to support the long-term success the National Security Leadership Program. Manages strategic planning and development and ensures alignment with college / university strategic plans.
