About The Role Arine is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer specializing in PDF validation to join our dedicated team. This role involves performing comprehensive manual testing of web applications and PDF content, ensuring that generated PDFs meet specified templates and content accuracy standards. The QA Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing detailed test cases, validating system-generated PDFs against templates for formatting, content correctness, and layout fidelity. They will also participate in application design discussions, collaborate with product owners and developers, and manage defect tracking from identification to resolution. The role requires a meticulous approach to testing, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a cross-functional team to ensure high-quality deliverables that meet business and technical requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of QA testing experience, particularly with web applications and SaaS platforms
- Proven expertise in manual testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing
- Strong knowledge of QA best practices, test case design, and defect reporting tools such as JIRA
- Experience validating PDFs, including checking formatting, content accuracy, and layout fidelity against templates
- Ability to compare and verify PDF content through visual and text-based checks
- Excellent understanding of front-end UI testing, form data handling, and error messaging validation
- Proficiency in documenting test cases, results, and bug reports clearly and effectively
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of issues
- Ability to enforce clear acceptance criteria and collaborate with product managers and developers to refine requirements
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments; knowledge of BDD frameworks is a plus
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Must reside in and be eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a background check
Responsibilities
- Participate in application design sessions with development teams and product owners to understand requirements and ensure testability
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and strategies focused on PDF content validation and web application functionality
- Execute manual tests to verify PDF generation, formatting, content accuracy, and layout fidelity against templates
- Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing of web applications, including front-end UI and form data handling
- Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools, ensuring timely resolution
- Prioritize and manage defects from inception through resolution, coordinating with stakeholders and developers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and acceptance criteria, ensuring clarity and testability
- Support user acceptance testing by coordinating with product owners and end-users
- Analyze test results and troubleshoot issues to determine root causes and suggest improvements
- Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, results, and defect reports
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and quality standards
