About The Role We are seeking a talented and passionate full-time Content Copywriter to join our dynamic team. This role is remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere, with the potential for in-office placement in Santa Monica for selected freelancers. As a Content Copywriter at StudioBinder, you will be responsible for creating compelling and engaging content that resonates with our target audience of filmmakers, producers, and video professionals. Your work will include writing and editing blog articles, developing video treatments for our YouTube channel, drafting newsletter copy, and updating content on our WordPress platform. This position is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about filmmaking, possesses excellent writing skills, and enjoys educating others through well-crafted content.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional copywriting experience
- Proficiency in Google Drive applications including Docs and Sheets
- Passionate about copywriting and teaching
- Living in or near Santa Monica if hired full-time
- Follows filmmaking news, blogs, and channels such as Every Frame a Painting, Nerdwriter, John August, ScriptNotes, etc.
- Comfortable writing content related to video production and filmmaking
- Creative, detail-oriented, and a strong grammar enthusiast
Responsibilities
- Write and edit engaging blog articles that inform and inspire our audience
- Create and refine video treatments for our YouTube channel to enhance viewer engagement
- Draft compelling newsletter copy to communicate updates, tips, and industry insights
- Update and maintain articles on WordPress, ensuring accuracy and relevance
- Explore and stay updated with industry trends, filmmaking news, and best practices
- Collaborate with the content and editorial team to develop content strategies
- Coordinate with editors to ensure content quality and consistency
