Location: Tucson, AZ (on-site)
Project Duration: 12 months w/ possibility of extension or conversion
Rate: Negotiable Based on Experience
Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to join our team in supporting enterprise-scale platform services. This role involves developing, deploying, and maintaining containerized applications and infrastructure across cloud environments, with a strong emphasis on automation, security, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and operate containerized services in production using orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Cloud Foundry.
- Build scalable developer platform services and APIs to support software operations.
- Design and maintain continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for automated deployment and testing.
- Manage and sustain production services using AWS , Azure, or other cloud infrastructure providers.
- Design and administer Identity and Access Lifecycle Management operations and controls.
- Facilitate certification of access for all in-scope resources including SaaS, cloud platforms, and managed applications.
- Collaborate in a cross-functional environment, communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Respond to software outages and lead post-mortem reviews including root cause analysis.
Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of platform engineering/support experience.

At least 3 years of experience with:

Containerized services in production.

Cloud orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry).

Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure).
-
CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance.

Identity and access management operations.
-
Experience in collaborative environments with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proven ability to manage access certification across diverse systems and tools.

Active and transferable DoD Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Top Secret clearance preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience deploying Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and practices.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash , Python , or PowerShell.
- Experience automating platform management at enterprise scale.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver creative solutions.
- ISO, CQE, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
