Job Title: Workday Testing Lead

Job Location: Fremont, CA

Job Type: Contract

Job Description:

Pay Range: $70hr – $75hr

  • The QA/Test Lead will be responsible for developing and executing test strategies, coordinating UAT and regression testing, and ensuring high-quality deliverables across HR, Finance, and IT projects.
  • This role also involves mentoring testers, building QA processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance overall product quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test scripts.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), regression, and end-to-end testing.
  • Lead defect triage sessions to prioritize and resolve issues effectively.
  • Build and maintain a QA knowledge base to ensure best practices are followed.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to validate business functionality.
  • Work closely with project managers to support test planning and execution.

Mentoring And Leadership:

  • Trained and mentored 20+ testers globally.
  • Increased overall test coverage by 25% across multiple modules.
  • Reduced post-go-live defects by 40% through knowledge sharing and improved processes.

Tools And Technologies:

  • Jira, HP ALM, TestRail, Workday Sandbox, Microsoft Teams, Excel.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in QA/Test Lead roles with responsibility for UAT, regression, and end-to-end testing.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and train global teams.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with defect management and test automation tools (where applicable).
