About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Developer to join our Visual Services team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and developing a state-of-the-art data analytics platform that supports real-time data access and analysis. Your expertise will contribute to building scalable, reliable, and efficient systems that empower our trading and operational teams. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Data, DevOps, Product, Finance, and Customer Success, to ensure seamless development, deployment, and integration of our platform. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with emerging technologies and influence the future of data analytics in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 4+ years of professional software development experience
- At least 1 year of production experience developing backend Restful APIs (experience with Restify, Fastify, or similar Node.js frameworks is desirable)
- Proven ability to manage projects from inception to completion
- Strong skills in producing high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Experience with unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration practices
- Knowledge of SQL, data analytics, and data modeling is a plus
- Familiarity with SQL time series analytical queries, window functions, and query optimization is desirable
Responsibilities
- Design and develop innovative data analytics platforms using modern, scalable technologies
- Standardize development processes, including design, implementation, testing, and code review
- Research and adopt new technologies to enhance system scalability and team productivity
- Collaborate with stakeholders and product owners to define technical requirements and translate them into effective solutions
- Coordinate with Data, DevOps, Product, Finance, and Customer Success teams to ensure smooth development, testing, and deployment cycles
- Implement automation for testing and deployment to improve efficiency and reliability
- Maintain high standards for code quality, documentation, and system performance
- Continuously monitor and optimize system performance, scalability, and security
