About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer, Full Stack (People Innovation), to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and building innovative products that enhance our talent acquisition, culture, and people development initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, recruiting, research, product management, and design, to create scalable and impactful solutions from inception to deployment. Your responsibilities will include developing new features, iterating on existing systems, and integrating cutting-edge AI models, particularly large language models (LLMs), to revolutionize how we attract and retain top talent. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the future of work at OpenAI by leveraging your full-stack development skills and passion for AI-driven solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional engineering experience in relevant roles at technology or product-driven companies
- Proficiency with JavaScript, React, and modern web technologies
- Strong experience with backend programming languages, particularly Python
- Experience working with relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL
- Interest or familiarity with AI/ML concepts and applications
- Ability to thrive in an environment with loosely defined tasks, competing priorities, and tight deadlines
- Experience in startup environments or as an early engineer/founder is a plus
- Passion for building company culture and recruiting innovative talent
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Own the full product development lifecycle for new people-focused products, from ideation to deployment
- Engage with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and design tailored solutions
- Collaborate with research teams to incorporate the latest AI models and share relevant feedback for continuous improvement
- Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams, including engineers, HRBP, recruiters, researchers, and designers, to develop scalable and innovative products
- Implement new features and enhance existing systems to support HR, culture, and recruiting initiatives
- Apply AI and machine learning techniques to optimize talent acquisition and people development processes
- Maintain high standards of code quality, security, and performance
- Stay updated with emerging technologies to bring innovative solutions to the team
