Job Title: IT Project Manager

Location: Durham, NC (Hybrid)

Contract Type: W2 Only (No C2C / 1099)

Duration: 12 Months

About the Role:

We are seeking a results-driven IT Project Manager with a strong background in managing complex technology project. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale IT solutions, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with business goals, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for IT initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
  • Manage cross-functional teams including developers, QA, business analysts, and infrastructure teams.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation including project plans, status reports, risk logs, and change requests.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as HIPAA , SOX , PCI-DSS , and GDPR.
  • Coordinate with vendors, third-party service providers, and internal teams for seamless integration and delivery.
  • Drive stakeholder communication and manage expectations through regular updates and reviews.
  • Support post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 12 years of experience in IT project management.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC , Agile , Scrum , and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise-level projects involving data migration , system integration , or digital transformation.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards in financial and healthcare sectors.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA , MS Project , Smartsheet , or Asana.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice to Have:

  • PMP , PRINCE2 , or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
  • Experience with cloud migration projects (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Background in data governance , cybersecurity , or AI/ML project oversight.
  • Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems or core banking platforms.
