Job Title: Wind Fleet Electrical Engineer
Location: Juno Beach, FL
Duration: 12 Months
Summary:Seeking a data-driven electrical engineer for hands-on management of wind turbine generators and power distribution systems. This role spans field troubleshooting, diagnostics, procedure development, and technical leadership for large-scale wind generation assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot wind turbine electrical systems
- Diagnose motor/generator issues using advanced diagnostics: vibration monitoring, MCSA/ESA, endoscopic inspections
- Develop/review engineering procedures, technical documentation, and specifications
- Analyze operational data; perform root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and quality management standards
- Prepare and present technical/financial cases to leadership
- Coordinate project deliverables and support field service teams
- Travel (~20%) to wind sites and vendor facilities; climb turbines as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s in electrical engineering or related discipline
- 3 5 years practical experience with large motors/generators (design, manufacturing, field)
- Knowledge of electromagnetic theory, machine dynamics, wind generation systems
- Experience with condition monitoring tools, ISO 9001 QMS, root cause analysis, engineering documentation
- Strong communication, prioritization, and data analysis skills
- Ability and willingness for field work/climbing and travel
