Summary:

NETWORK TECHNICIAN
Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, modems, and other network devices.
• Conduct regular network inspections, identify potential issues, and perform necessary repairs or upgrades.
• Monitor network performance, analyze data, and implement improvements to enhance network efficiency and reliability.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, diagnose problems, and provide timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network infrastructure solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, equipment inventory, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in telecommunications technology.
• Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm’s respectful and courteous work environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Technician or in a similar role within the telecommunications industry.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, VLAN, MPLS, and OSPF.
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network equipment, including Cisco, Juniper, or similar devices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex network issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
• Industry certifications, such as CCNA or CCNP, are highly desirable.

Pay Range: $57-58
