Salary: $55.00 USD Hourly – $60.00 USD Hourly

Description: About the Role

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll be part of a high-impact team responsible for the reliability, performance, and security of AIX and Linux systems in a 24/7 production environment. You’ll work across infrastructure and application teams to support mission-critical systems and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimize AIX and Linux server environments to ensure high availability and scalability
  • Diagnose and resolve system-level issues across hardware, OS, and network layers
  • Implement monitoring solutions to proactively detect and address performance bottlenecks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy and manage system configurations
  • Automate routine tasks using shell scripting and configuration management tools
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for infrastructure and application support

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 years of hands-on experience with AIX and/or Linux system administration
  • Proficiency with monitoring tools like Nagios, Splunk, Dynatrace, or similar
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with incident management workflows
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., PowerVM, VMware)
  • Knowledge of storage and backup systems in Unix/Linux environments
  • Background in fintech or supporting financial applications
  • Solid understanding of security best practices and compliance standards
