The candidate should be capable of producing and communicating design concepts through drawings and renderings. They must possess a collaborative attitude and be a creative thinker with a solid understanding of architectural corporate design standards and practices. The candidate will be required to work with architects, in-house Senior Designers and Construction Managers through all phases of varying project types, sizes, and complexities.

What you will do

  • Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Manage project assignments and internal/external relationships.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives and requirements.

  • With support of Senior Lead Design Manager, develop test fits, project timelines and budgets associated with architectural design and furniture design.

  • Design Assistance and Review:

  • Develop and contribute to conceptual, schematic, and detailed design phases under senior guidance including renovations, minor refreshes and select new construction.

  • Review design drawings and specifications for accuracy, ensuring compliance with building codes and corporate standards.

  • Team and Consultant Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal design team, property, project management and other stakeholders in managing communication between cross-functional teams to execute tasks.

  • Coordinate with external consultants (e.g., architects, engineers, furniture dealers) to gather input and ensure alignment.

  • Stakeholder Communication:

  • Prepare design presentations and progress updates for review by senior managers or stakeholders.

  • Incorporate feedback from clients or end-users into design revisions as directed.

  • Work with AutoCAD and Bluebeam and other design tools.

  • Assist with administrative tasks as required to support the Design Team.

We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site four days per week in the specified location(s).

What you have

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field and 3+ years of experience supporting architectural design projects OR Associate’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field and 5+ years of experience supporting architectural design projects
  • Proficiency in Autocad and working knowledge of other architectural design software (e.g., REVIT, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-up, InDesign, Bluebeam and BIM) for creating and reviewing drawings
  • Basic skills in Microsoft 365 for project documentation and presentations
  • Basic knowledge of building codes, zoning laws and accessibility standards
  • General understanding of construction processes, materials and methods to support design implementation, including cost implications of material choices and construction techniques
  • Understanding of architectural design fundamentals, including space planning, aesthetics and functionality
  • Ability to visually express innovative ideas and strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, strong organizational and time management habits, and ability to work well independently and collaboratively
  • Experience that demonstrates ability to work collaboratively within a design team and take direction from Design Managers and Senior Management
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
