Role Middle School Boys Lacrosse Coach FLSA Status Exempt Reports to Director of Athletics and Middle School Athletic Director Season duration April May Breck Overview Breck School is a preschool through twelve coeducational college preparatory Episcopal day school located in Golden Valley Minnesota with a national reputation for excellence and achievement in academics athletics and the arts Our Schools Episcopal roots are lived through an unwavering commitment to equity inclusion and belonging where we respect the dignity of every human being We prioritize lifelong learning and a commitment to the greater good We are a community of highly engaged and motivated students faculty staff and school leaders focused on building trusting relationships and strong academic scholarship through a practice of bridging research to practice Upon graduation Breck students are prepared for a life of intellectual curiosity self knowledge and social responsibility matriculating to colleges and universities throughout the world Position Overview The Middle School Boys Lacrosse Coach is responsible for supporting the success of the Middle School Boys Lacrosse program The Middle School Boys Lacrosse Coach manages the day to day operations of the program while playing a key role in preparing student athletes for the next level of their athletic journey All coaches are required to abide by rules and regulations of the NFHS SSYOOTHER ASSOCIATION and Breck School Responsibilities Foster a positive team culture model teamwork trust inclusivity respect and leadership; encourage sportsmanlike conduct at all times Manage and supervise practices and athletic events Work with student athletes to improve their abilities in Middle School Boys Lacrosse Partner with coaching staff to provide unity across all levels and teams Encourage and support multi sport athletes within Breck Qualifications Prior playing or coaching experience Middle School Boys Lacrosse at the Middle School or High School is preferred Ability to work effectively and positively with adolescent athletes Knowledge of Middle School Boys Lacrosse fundamentals and effective coaching techniques and skills of Middle School Boys Lacrosse Experience building and maintaining effective working relationships with school administrators opponents staff parents and athletes Exhibits professionalism organizational communication delegation and interpersonal skills
