Responsibilities:


  • Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software for embedded devices and systems, ensuring compliance with industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standards. – Review, analyze, and convert customer requirements into software design for embedded systems. – Write and build code tailored for embedded systems software, ensuring it functions effectively on specialized hardware. – Integrate software with hardware components and monitor the efficiency and stability of embedded software systems. – Conduct testing and debugging for embedded devices and systems, implementing current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and relevant regulatory changes. – Provide guidance on software and hardware integration, track and evaluate both internal and supplier software team performance, and perform project management functions for embedded software.

We are currently seeking an Entry-Level Missions Systems Software Engineer — Embedded to become part of our Mission Systems Software team in Berkeley, Missouri. This position offers the chance to engage in a collaborative integrated product team environment, playing a vital role in implementing various features of safety-critical and mission-critical flight software. You will gain experience across all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements decomposition, architecture design, algorithm development, software creation, testing (including Hardware in the Loop), and documentation. You will also work with a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) software build pipeline using agile methodologies focused on code quality, security, and automation. Key areas of interest include Sensor Fusion, Mission Management, Resource Management, Fire Control and Weapons Engagement, Mission Processing, Stores Management, Tactical Communications, 3rd Party Software Integration, and Security Operations (DevSecOps). It’s important to note that this position requires the ability to secure a U.S. Security Clearance, which necessitates U.S. Citizenship.
