Job Description: Join our dedicated Pediatric Neurology research team in the Developmental Network Neurobiology Lab at the University of Florida and contribute to groundbreaking discoveries that improve the lives of children and adults with neurological and developmental conditions, such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, Type 1 Diabetes, and Stroke. As a Full-Time OPS Research Assistant I, you’ll work alongside passionate researchers in Gainesville, FL, supporting studies that advance our understanding of pediatric brain health and development.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with data collection and entry for psychological assessments, clinical data assessments, and MRI, and contribute towards data analysis for ongoing research projects
- Coordinate study visits and maintain accurate participant records
- Work directly with participants with neurodevelopmental conditions of all ages
- Help prepare research materials and documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including physicians, researchers, and clinical staff
- Ensure compliance with research protocols and regulatory requirements
- Contribute towards recruitment of adults with and without Autism Spectrum Disorders

We’re seeking someone who brings curiosity, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in pediatric neurology research. You work well in team environments, can work independently, and communicate effectively with diverse groups including families, healthcare professionals, and research colleagues.
Qualifications We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, psychology, biology, or related field
- Previous research experience in an academic setting
- Experience with psychological assessments and emotional and behavioral rating scales
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency with computer applications and databases preferred but not required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work sensitively with neurodiverse populations and their families
- Availability to work in-person during business hours and flexibility for rare evenings

Expected Salary: $21.63 per hour
Minimum Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work independently, interact professionally and possess effective time management and organizational skills along with strong attention to detail.
