About The Role As an Analytics Engineer at DoorDash, you will play a pivotal role in building and scaling the data infrastructure that supports fast, reliable, and actionable insights across the organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Operations— to develop robust data products and self-serve analytics tools. Your work will focus on designing and maintaining high-volume, dependable ETL/ELT pipelines, creating canonical datasets, and developing metrics and visualizations to inform strategic decision-making. This is a highly technical position that requires a deep understanding of data engineering principles, proficiency in SQL, and experience with data visualization tools. Your contributions will directly influence product development, operational efficiency, and business growth by ensuring data integrity, reusability, and accessibility.

Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data transformation and performance tuning
- Experience with at least one programming language such as Python or Scala
- Expertise in creating reporting and data visualization solutions using tools like Tableau, Sigma, or Mode
- Familiarity with database fundamentals including S3, Trino, Hive, Spark
- Experience with data quality checks using tools like Pydeequ or Great Expectations
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills to interpret market and consumer data
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand and translate business needs into technical data requirements
- Identify key business questions and develop structured data solutions to address them
- Lead the development of scalable data products and self-service analytics tools for broad organizational use
- Build and maintain reliable, high-volume ETL/ELT pipelines utilizing data lake and data warehousing concepts
- Design and implement metrics, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Sigma, or Mode
- Uphold data integrity standards, ensuring data reusability, readability, and standardization across teams
- Perform data validation and quality checks to maintain the accuracy and reliability of datasets
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues related to data pipelines and queries
- Stay updated with emerging data technologies and best practices to continuously improve data infrastructure
