Registered Nurse – Ambulatory Surgery Center

Role Summary: A qualified Nurse independently practices in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex patient care.

They demonstrate awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations, manage contingencies, and make appropriate assignments to care team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care following the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Additional Details: Full-time role with a schedule of five 8-hour days.
