Job Title: Senior Python Engineer – Kubernetes & Kafka

Location: Houston, TX

Duration: 12 Months

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • We are looking to hire a Senior Python developer who can work independently from the Houston office. The ideal candidate should be technically strong and capable of operating with minimal supervision.
  • This requires experience in Python/software development, not just scripting. Proficiency in multiprocessing is essential.
  • Our tech stack includes Kubernetes (via Docker), Kafka, Azure, and GitHub.
  • Experience in how distributed asynchronous systems work, how to design them to avoid data conflicts and how to do it all in immutable environments orchestrated across multiple machines.
  • So far, most of the profiles received lack the necessary experience to function as a technical lead. Specifically, we ve seen limited or no experience in architectural design, mentoring, or stakeholder engagement.
  • The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, adaptable to technological evolution, and focused on delivering business value. While experience in the energy sector is a plus, it s not mandatory. A financial background would also be beneficial.
