++SAP Data & Analytics Consultant Azure Synapse/Power BI++

++**S/4 HANA Experience is a must have**++

Client is seeking a hands-on SAP Consultant to lead and execute sales and COPA reporting initiatives with a strong Azure/Synapse-to-Power BI focus. The consultant will design and optimize SAP-to-Azure data pipelines and advise on scalable, best-practice reporting architecture. Fiori enablement remains in scope, but the primary need is for robust Azure/Synapse integration and hands-on pipeline expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage Synapse pipelines for reliable SAP – Azure Data Lake – Power BI data flow.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize performance of SAP-to-Azure connectivity and data refresh cycles.
  • Ensure security, data consistency, and auditability between SAP S/4HANA, Synapse, and Power BI.
  • Design, build, and optimize custom ABAP CDS Views for structured sales and profitability reporting.
  • Expose CDS data via OData services and confirm seamless consumption by Power BI.
  • Validate and reconcile data between SAP and Power BI dashboards.
  • Provide light SAP Basis guidance related to data connectivity, transport management, and performance troubleshooting as it impacts reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal Basis resources to ensure system stability during pipeline development.
  • Recommend scalable SAP reporting architecture and process improvements
  • Document data flows, designs, and hand-off materials for Trelleborg’s IT team.

++We need a resource with the following experience:++

++**COMMUNICATION IS A MUST HAVE**++

Minimum 5 years of SAP experience including:

  • Extensive knowledge in SAP S/4HANA
  • ABAP CDS Views design & performance tuning
  • OData services for external data exposure
  • Proven Azure Data Lake & Synapse experience, including pipeline creation and orchestration for SAP data.
  • Hands-on Power BI integration for enterprise reporting.
  • Familiarity with SAP Basis activities affecting data extraction and performance.
  • Ability to work independently in a small, fast-moving team and communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Experience:

  • COPA (Profitability Analysis) data modeling and reporting.

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) experience.

  • Knowledge of Fiori analytical apps (secondary priority).
