About The Role This is a hybrid position based out of our Chicago office, offering a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of data analysis and strategic operations. As a key member of the Strategy & Analytics (S&A) team, you will act as a strategic partner for your business area, providing critical insights and data-driven recommendations to enhance operational performance. Your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Finance, Data Science, and Product, to influence decision-making and drive strategic initiatives.

You will be responsible for wrangling complex datasets, developing meaningful metrics and dashboards, and communicating insights effectively to senior leadership. This position offers an exciting chance to shape the operational strategy of a global technology leader while working in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in analytical and strategic roles within management consulting, Operations, Support, Risk, or Financial Services
• Expertise in SQL and a strong understanding of data relationships
• Proven experience working with cross-functional teams and globally distributed stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and translate findings into actionable insights
• Excellent communication skills, capable of creating compelling narratives for executive audiences
• Experience with operational metrics, dashboards, and performance tracking
• Structured problem-solving skills combined with sound business acumen
• Preferred: Experience with Tableau and familiarity with fast-paced, high-growth environments
• Ability to toggle between strategic overview and detailed analysis to inform decision-making

Responsibilities

• Wrangle large, complex datasets using SQL to develop actionable insights and serve as the data expert for your business area
• Create and maintain dashboards and metrics to monitor the health of user-facing and internal teams
• Conduct detailed analyses, identify trends, build models, and research opportunities or risks to inform leadership decisions
• Develop narratives and reports that effectively communicate insights and influence senior Operations leadership and Stripe executive team
• Partner with stakeholders across various functions to drive cross-functional change and operational improvements
• Design, optimize, and facilitate operational reviews and establish rhythms of business to ensure continuous performance tracking
• Support forecasting and planning processes, especially within Financial Crimes, to enable strategic decision-making
• Apply a ROI-focused approach to operational decisions, balancing short-term gains with long-term strategic goals
• Lead or contribute to strategic initiatives and projects that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
