Sr Program Manager, Talent Selection & Assessment Innovation
About The Role Uber is redefining how talent is selected in an era of rapid change and AI disruption. We are looking for a Sr. Program Manager to lead our global Selection & Assessment innovation agenda – blending scientific rigor with commercial speed. This role is both a thought leader and operator: you will shape the future of how Uber hires, while ensuring today’s programs are scaled, defensible, and delivering measurable impact.

What You’ll Do
- Serve as Uber’s in-house authority on Selection & Assessment, setting strategy and leading global execution across TA.
- Drive innovation : evaluate emerging tools, AI-driven risks to validity, and design next-gen approaches to stay ahead of industry shifts.
- Build programs that balance scientific defensibility with commercial agility – moving fast, testing, learning, and adapting.
- Partner with TA leadership, People Analytics, and Legal to ensure practices are scalable, compliant, and business-relevant.
- Translate complex psychometrics into clear, practical insights for recruiters, hiring managers, and executives.
- Track program impact through data analytics, connecting Selection & Assessment directly to Uber’s Quality of Hire strategy .
- Interface directly with the VP of TA and senior leaders across the organization , influencing strategic decisions and ensuring alignment with broader talent goals.
- Be a visible thought partner both inside and outside Uber, shaping how the industry thinks about the future of selection at scale.
Basic Qualifications
- 7 years of relevant professional experience.
- Advanced degree in I/O Psychology (PhD or Master’s).
- Proven expertise in Selection & Assessment with hands-on program design and implementation at scale.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments – not just applying science but adapting it.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong program management and cross-functional partnership skills.
- Experience applying AI or emerging technologies in assessment.
- Exposure to global, high-volume hiring environments.
- ATS/HRIS systems design or vendor integration experience.
- Excellent communication and influence skills, with the ability to make science accessible to executives and recruiters alike.
- Data-driven mindset, balancing rigor with pragmatic decision-making.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$142,000 per year – USD$158,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$142,000 per year – USD$158,000 per year. For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$128,000 per year – USD$142,500 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber’s bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
