Systems Engineer (contract)

This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project. Position Responsibilities

  • Performs test engineering activities, including detailed operating procedure authoring and execution on spacecraft propulsion systems to achieve test, verification, and vehicle production objectives
  • Hypergolic propellant servicing
  • Develops and executes steps to perform component removals, replacement, and re-test on systems that contain hypergolic propellants
  • Leak testing of spacecraft propulsion systems

Required Skills, Experience, And Education

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Previous experience loading hypergolic propellants or performing other test related operations on hypergol contaminated propellant systems
  • Previous experience leak checking spacecraft fluid systems
  • Previous experience developing procedures to leak check and perform functional testing of spacecraft hypergolic propellant systems
  • Previous experience operating high-pressure pneumatic equipment, including to pressurize flight hardware
  • Previous experience task leading technicians, QA team members, and other test engineers to execute testing
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities required to document and resolve non-conformances on both ground support equipment and flight hardware
  • 5+ years propulsion related fluids test engineering experience on spacecraft
  • Willing to work overtime and off shift operations, including 2nd and 3rd shift

Desired Skills, Experience, And Education

  • Current non-Destructive Test (NDT) Leak Test certification
  • Current SCAPE/SAR certification

Pay Rate Range Min Pay Rate Max Pay Rate Currency Unit 75.83 82 USD hourly
