COMPANY OVERVIEW Balchem Corporation develops manufactures and markets specialty ingredients that improve and enhance the health and well being of life on the planet providing state of the art solutions and the finest quality products for a range of industries worldwide Our corporate headquarters is located in New Hampton New York Hudson Valley area and we have a broad network of sales offices manufacturing sites and R&D centers primarily located in the US and Europe Founded in 1967 Balchem is a publicly traded company NASDAQ BCPC with annual revenues over 640 million and a market cap exceeding 30 billion The company consists of three business segments Human Nutrition & Health; Animal Nutrition & Health; and Specialty Products Balchem employs over 1400 people worldwide who are engaged in diverse activities committed to developing the company into global market leadership positions To learn more about our dynamic stable and growing company visit wwwbalchemcom POSITION SUMMARY Oversee warehouse operations Perform a variety of duties in support of the manufacturing facilities including the receipt storage issuance and inventory of materials supplies and equipment Work to efficiently utilize the warehouse space in order to accomplish the companys goals ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Coordinate distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency and flow of products from facility to facilityVerify incoming shipments for appropriate quantity and quality according to the receiving procedureRotate and stock products by moving palletsdrumsbags of material from storage locations to use locations using forklifts pallet jacks or by manual stacking according to the warehouse procedure and HACCP planUnderstand and comply with the production facility Good Manufacturing Practices and safety regulationsMaintain the Central Warehouse in a clean and orderly manner by completing standard warehouse housekeeping and sanitation dutiesActively and effectively participate in team activities including meetings planning sessions etcSampling raw material according to the sampling procedureUnderstand and use transportation concepts practices and proceduresEffectively complete the daily transportation needs as indicated by the department schedule andor managerLoad and unload truck as required REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent preferred and a minimum of 24 months experience in a manufacturingwarehouse environment or in a related fieldMust have experience with and knowledge of modern warehousing and inventory proceduresUnderstand the principles and procedures of record keeping and safe work practicesHave ability to organize stock and issue materials maintain accurate records communicate clearly and conciselyMust be forklift certified and have a current Class D Drivers License with a clean driving record for insurability WORKING CONDITIONS May require walkingstanding sitting for periodic periods throughout the day in a warehouse with no HVAC; reaching above shoulder heights below the waist or lifting as required to handle materials during the workdayManufacturingwarehouse environment with exposure to wet and dry raw materials and finished product powder and liquid bulk materials and cleaning chemicalsSome climbing stooping and lifting; frequent moving of up to 125 pounds required; move pallets weighting approximately 2000 pounds with the use of a pallet jack
