- 100% onsite at Marlborough, MA
- Shift – 8am – 5pm EST
- Looking for a system administrator which heavily involves Windows/VMware expertise.
- The Active directory skills fall under the Windows administration which is a desired skill for this role.
- This role is 90% hands-on technical and 10% strategic planning / cross functional collaboration
- Specific systems, tools, or vendors (e.g., VMware, Palo Alto, Cisco) that candidates must have prior experience with – Listed are preferred
Responsibilities:
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate provisioning, configuration, and management of IT/OT environments using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible
Top 3 must have:
- Must have extensive hands-on experience with Windows system administration
- Must be excellent with time management, organizational skills, communication skills
- Must have with system design and network architectures.
Role Summary:
- This role requires a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems within an industrial controls environment.
- The successful candidate will be a knowledgeable leader within all aspects of the IT environment, including operating systems, networking, and secure design.
- This role will serve as the technical lead for system administration activities, driving the long-term IT strategies within product lines and ensuring the secure and reliable operation of Client’s bioprocess systems
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Education: BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or in a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) with 7-10 years of experience.
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with directory services (Active Directory, LDAP, Group Policies).
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V.
- Hands-on experience configuring network and security appliances (e.g., network switches, firewalls).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible
- Ability to define, deploy, and manage infrastructure using code in hybrid or cloud environments.
- Proficiency in network protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with system design and architecture
- Familiarity with industry cybersecurity standards (IEC 62433, ISA 99, NIST 800-53, etc.) implementation and governance.
- Familiarity with anti-malware product deployment, application whitelisting strategies, and the use of vulnerability scanners.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation tools.
Other Skills:
- Experience working in an industrial manufacturing OT environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills; able to balance multiple projects and priorities.
- Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and verbal and written communications skills.
- Experience working on global project teams as an individual contributor.
- Knowledge of application risk identification and evaluation techniques.
- Demonstrated understanding of software systems and development concepts, including access, authorization, configuration, design, test, and maintenance.
