APM-E Systems Engineer

Atlas Tech is a rapidly expanding company supporting the US Military and other Government entities and we are seeking a passionate flexible and highly motivated team player to join our group of Technology professionals We are looking for a talented APM E Engineer to provide direct technical and systems engineering support to the Assistant Program Manager Engineering APM E facilitating engineering integration technical rigor and effective communication across Navy afloat and enterprise network modernization efforts The role also includes responsibility for managing technical interfaces with external Program Management Offices PMWs and ensuring engineering alignment with NAVWAR IT and Cybersecurity Technical Authority standards architectures and processes This is a full job for you You Will Serve as the primary technical engineering support to the APM E providing expert level insight recommendations technical decision support and preparation of technical assessments to support APM E delegated Technical Decision Authority TDALead systems and network engineering integration efforts for modernization upgrades and cyber related enhancements to afloat and enterprise network architectures ensuring the engineering and technical integrity of PMW 160 systems eg CANES ADNS and integrated tactical network baselines across Surface Subsurface and Shore platformsRepresent engineering interests at Integrated Product Team IPT meetings and act as the technical liaison between the APM E cross functional engineering teams matrixed PMW personnel and external PMWsCoordinate development tracking and delivery of program prioritized Engineering Change Requests ECRs and Change Requests CRs reviewing impacts to technical interfaces network boundaries address allocations and system baselinesPerform systems engineering services across the full project lifecycle including requirements definition system test and integration design documentation and incorporation of digital engineering models decomposed technical requirements and testable measures of performanceDevelop update and maintain system configuration documentation troubleshooting guides interface diagrams and technical traceability artifactsDevelop and revise system architectures to improve performance stability supportability and long term sustainability ensuring mission level interoperability and accurate data flows across tactical networksManage technical interfaces and coordination with external PMWs to ensure alignment integration and effective communication across programsLead or support technical review events including System Engineering Technical Reviews SETRs SOVT verification reviews RiskIssueOpportunity RIO adjudication and the development of technical review action plansSupport Tactical Network Platform ie CANES engineering including topology design switchingrouting protocols VLAN segmentation virtualization baselines and cybersecurity compliant configurationsSupport the engineering and integration of Tactical Network WAN ie ADNS boundaries including policy routing QoS traffic shaping and transport path selection for ship to shore WAN communicationsAssess track and manage cyber systems engineering and test & evaluation risks throughout the program life cycle escalating unresolved technical disagreements through the Technical Authority chain when necessaryGather operational feedback from fleet users and ISEAs and integrate fleet identified deficiencies into upcoming software releases and technical refreshesYou Have US CitizenshipPossession of and the ability to maintain a Department of Defense DoD Secret Level Security ClearanceSix 6 years experience supporting the engineering of Information Technology systems for a DoW or Government AgencyMinimum of three 3 years experience supporting the engineering of Department of WarDepartment of Defense Tactical NetworksAbility to provide expert level knowledge in systems engineering and information technologyAbility to develop solutions across software and hardware to solve problems and implement enhancementsAbility to investigate and resolve issues that span multiple applicationstechnologies and require involvement from technical personnel across multiple organizationsAbility to develop andor revise system designs and architectures to improve efficiency stability effectiveness supportability and sustainability including alignment with NAVWAR Technical Authority Zero Trust RMF and CYBERSAFE requirementsStrong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast paced dynamic environmentStrong understanding of CiscoJuniper routing and switching firewall configurations IP addressing virtualization VMware ESXi vSAN and software defined networking concepts used within Navy tactical enclavesWorking knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering MBSE methodologies eg SysMLCameo and familiarity with NAVWAR technical review processes and Navy certification pathwaysEducationExperience Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in Engineering Computer Science Mathematics or Physical Science requiredMinimum of six 6 years professional experience in systems engineeringWe Would Be Impressed If You Had Experience working with NAVWAR NIWC Pacific and PEO C4I Program OfficesExperience with Navy specific initiatives and PMW 160 systems eg Consolidated Afloat Network Enterprise Systems CANES Platform Application Services PAS Agile Core Services ACS Automated Digital Network System ADNSMasters degree in an Engineering
