Roadway Engineering Subject Matter Expert

ATCS is seeking an energetic highly motivated detail oriented self starter to join our team as a Senior Roadway Engineer or Roadway Engineering Subject Matter Expert This is a hybrid role with three days per week required onsite in our Herndon ATCS office This is an exciting opportunity to apply your design experience to some of the largest most complex projects in Virginia This individual will perform a variety of engineering tasks relative to VDOT and various roadway design projects with a focus on complex interstate and urban arterial design within the alternative project delivery program The diversity of responsibilities requires a flexible mindset and cooperative team oriented attitude with progressively increasing design and management capabilities Duties and Responsibilities Daily responsibilities may include project design task management client contact and quality controlDevelopment of roadway contract documents for all project delivery models with a focus on advising clients on P3 delivery projects Preparing reports and studiesPreparing for attending and participating in public meetingsDirecting others in performing designs for various roadway infrastructure projects based on AASHTO VDOT and local municipality requirements; reviewing and managing designs prepared by othersCoordinating with contractors concessionaires utility companies and government agenciesBasis Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Civil EngineeringMinimum of 15 years of experience in roadway design preferably in Virginia with a strong preference for 20 years of experienceProfessional Engineers license in VA is preferred will consider other states with the commitment of obtaining a Virginia PE within 6 months of starting employmentMicroStation ORD experience; AutoCAD Civil 3D experience a plusFamiliarity with AASHTO VDOT and regional design standards practices and policiesFamiliarity with P3 project delivery and alternative project delivery projectsOur employees are the most critical part of ATCS For this position we offer a competitive salary range of 160000 to 240000 per year commensurate with experience and qualifications The role is also eligible for an annual bonus with a target 5 of the employees annualized salary In addition to compensation ATCS offers outstanding employee focused benefits for you and your family Full time employees are eligible for benefits coverage on the first day of the month following their start date Including but not limited to generous personal PTO inclusive holiday PTO community involvement PTO highly customizable medical plan options excellent dental & vision plans 401K match up to 3 with immediate vesting parental leave STD & LTD tuition reimbursement employee assistance program and more ATCS is an equal opportunity employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race color religion sex disability age sexual orientation gender identity national origin veteran status or genetic information ATCS is committed to providing equal opportunities and reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities in employment its services programs and activities To request reasonable accommodation contact Caitlin Crockett MBA SPHR at ccrockettatcscom
