Role Overview:
The Automation & Scripting Specialist will develop and maintain automated workflows to improve GIS operations, data maintenance, and reporting across City departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop scripts using Python, ArcPy, REST API, or PowerShell.

  • Create automated jobs for data synchronization, alerts, and backups.

  • Manage cron jobs or cloud functions for scheduling tasks.

  • Work closely with GIS and IT teams to identify automation opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, GIS, or related field.

  • 3 years of experience with automation and scripting in Esri environments.

  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, and cloud functions (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, etc.).

  • Strong analytical and debugging skills.
