Must have:

– I have at least 5 years of experience in Linux administration. – I possess a foundational understanding of networking, being familiar with IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, TFTP, SCP, and having a basic knowledge of firewalls and load balancers. – I have experience working with AWS. – I am adept at using Kubernetes and Jenkins.

Responsibilities:


  • I will provide assistance for incoming tickets to identify issues related to the network and service provisioning layer within the lab environment. – I will ensure timely follow-up on all tickets and pursue issues until they are resolved. – I will be accountable for code deployments and release installations for various applications in the lab. – I will troubleshoot network provisioning for various CPE devices. – I will collaborate closely with the development and architecture teams to comprehend the requirements for testing new features and releases. – I will be responsible for testing software releases related to network provisioning and service activation applications. – I will create, execute, and report on test plans, documenting any issues identified during testing. – I will analyze test data, document outcomes, and effectively communicate results and findings to project stakeholders. – I will oversee the creation and management of documentation pertinent to support and testing activities connected to provisioning applications.

We are currently seeking a Linux Systems Engineer to join our Activation and Provision team at Charter. This role will support the testing, troubleshooting, and deployment of new features within our lab environment. This position is hybrid, requiring 4 days onsite and 1 day remote per week. The job is a 6-month contract, with potential for conversion or extension. In terms of compensation, the pay ranges from $45.00 to $50.00 per hour for an expected workload of 40 hours per week.
