About The Role The Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative role at USAA presents an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to build a career in the insurance industry. This position involves providing exceptional customer support, sales, and retention services for USAA’s Property & Casualty personal line products. The role requires interaction with members across various communication channels, including inbound calls, emails, chat, and social media, to deliver tailored advice and solutions that meet their insurance needs. Qualifications To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. An active Property and Casualty (P&C) or Personal Lines license in the candidate’s current state of residence or hire is required, with the ability to obtain additional licenses as needed. Candidates should have at least one year of customer service experience within insurance, financial services, or relevant direct customer support and sales roles. Strong multitasking skills and the ability to navigate multiple business applications efficiently are essential. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to providing outstanding service.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to member inquiries via phone, email, chat, and social media, ensuring a high-quality customer experience.
  • Assist members with quotes, policy binding, rating, billing, payments, underwriting, and coverage options, utilizing developing knowledge of personal lines insurance products.
  • Identify and assess member needs to provide accurate advice and solutions, minimizing escalations and callbacks.
  • Navigate multiple systems and programs efficiently while maintaining engaging and professional interactions across various communication channels.
  • Maintain required Property & Casualty licenses and state registrations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to risk management and compliance policies by effectively identifying, measuring, monitoring, and controlling associated risks.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.
