In this role you would gather, analyze, and evaluate data analytics, while also engaging with our various Audit Teams.is the state’s Fiscal Watchdog. - Coordinate meetings to gain an understanding of the needs of OSA in order to develop a project outline
- Communicate with state agencies and other auditees to obtain needed data for data analytic purposes
- Provide technical assistance to both auditors and data programmers
- Engage with audit teams to further their data literacy and understanding of OSA’s data analytic products and services
- Continue to develop knowledge of auditing, coding, and data analytic software and technologies through training and self-study
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies
- Knowledge of professional audit standards, techniques, practices and procedures
- Knowledge of computer assisted audit techniques (CAATs) and Data Analytics of data sets and sources
- Ability to audit various financial, systems, and/or program information and confirm the accuracy, integrity, and conformance to rules, regulations, and standards
- Ability to validate data, read code and verify outputs are correct and complete
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements A bachelor’s degree with 24 semester hours in accounting and 12 semester hours in information technology or computer & information security from an appropriately accredited institution and 2 years of experience in auditing/accounting or information technology/computer securityORA bachelor’s degree with 24 semester hours in information technology or computer & information security and 12 semester hours in accounting/business from an appropriately accredited institution and 2 years of experience in auditing/accounting or information technology/computer securityORAn equivalent combination of education and experienceSupplemental and Contact Information
