Associate Scientist – Microbiology

Performs challenge tests to determine preservation effectiveness in research, pilot and production samples. Performs Preservative Neutralization/ Suitability testing. Performs microbiological tests on raw materials, bulk, and finished goods to determine microbiological content and composition. Work performed in EL R&D Microbiology requires contact with Biosafety level 2 organisms which have been associated with human disease and hazard. Performs Environmental Monitoring in GMP areas, including reporting and trending data Investigates, evaluates and implements new laboratory techniques. Assists immediate supervisor in other functions and duties as assigned. Bachelors’ degree in Microbiology, Biology, or Chemistry Works well both independently and part of a team Pay Range: The anticipated hourly range for this position is $75,000.00 to $85,000.00. Exact hourly rate depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Hourly range may vary based on geographic location.
