IT Support Technician
Requirements
Must have:
– High school diploma or GED. – 1-3 years of experience supporting client devices or desktop environments. – Solid working knowledge of computer hardware, software, and troubleshooting methods. – Clear communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical users. – Strong customer service, organization, and problem-solving abilities. – Preferred: technical certification such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or a related credential. – Preferred: experience in IT customer support. – Preferred: familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing platforms. – Preferred: exposure to Epic or other EMR systems. – Preferred: background in break/fix support or computer technician work. – Preferred: knowledge of Microsoft Office troubleshooting, Windows support, hardware/workstation diagnostics, software installation and configuration, and issue documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver day-to-day technical assistance for computer hardware, software, printers, and workstation-related problems. – Investigate service requests and incidents involving Microsoft applications, email, operating systems, and business software. – Help with computer setups, equipment transfers, software installation, and device provisioning. – Manage user account updates, hardware swaps, and asset tracking activities. – Keep inventory records current and support technology documentation. – Identify and fix straightforward technical issues using established procedures. – Escalate more complex matters to senior technicians when required. – Foster positive working relationships with employees while delivering strong customer service. – Contribute to IT projects, system rollouts, and office moves as needed.
