COMPANY OVERVIEW Balchem is committed to making the world a healthier place by delivering trusted innovative and science based solutions for the health and nutritional needs of the world Balchem employs approximately 1400 employees worldwide who provide the service quality and technology that enables our customers to win with their customers We have built a reputation for delivering results to all of our stakeholders Founded in 1967 Balchem a Maryland corporation became a publicly traded company in 1970 and is listed on Nasdaq under the symbol BCPC Our corporate headquarters is located in Montvale New Jersey and we have a broad network of sales offices manufacturing sites and R&D centers primarily located in the US and Europe The Company consists of three business segments Human Nutrition and Health Animal Nutrition and Health and Specialty Products POSITION SUMMARY The Finance Manager Human Nutrition & Health serves as an advisor and hands on strategic business partner to the Business Unit Directors This role is responsible for continuously challenging the businesses to drive strong financial performance in terms of both sales growth and profitability The Finance Manager should have an eye towards continuous improvement and proactively lead efforts to identify opportunities and implement solutions A strong candidate for this role will be able to move seamlessly between time sensitive tactical financial work eg month end reporting and financial analysis monthly forecasts annual budget and more high level commercial support eg annual strategic plans pricing strategy and acquisition analysis This person should be a highly skilled finance professional who has a solid foundation in standard accounting principles and now wants to use that knowledge to go beyond processing transactions and move into influencing decisions The individual must be highly motivated have strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and to communicate timelines and progress In this role it is critical to establish good working relationships with the commercial business teams supply chain colleagues and the finance & accounting teams The individual must have strong written and verbal communication skills and possess strong attention to detail while comprehending the bigger picture The individual must be able to translate finance & accounting detail for different audiences including Balchems CEO CFO and Board of Directors This role reports to the Commercial Finance Director for Balchems largest segment Human Nutrition & Health ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Lead thoughtful timely month end reporting and financial analysis for Business Units each month Be able to clearly tell the story of what happened why it happened and what we can expect going forward Lead monthly forecast and annual budget processes for Business Units including measuring performance against the forecast and budget Help drive the organization to find ways to hit or improve on targets Use insight analysis and critical thinking to evaluate options and make recommendations Support the business in developing and executing on effective business strategies in preparation for the annual Strategic Reviews and throughout the year Perform routine and ad hoc financial analysis utilizing financial modeling and business analysis techniques Drive continuous improvement within the Finance & Accounting function including improving the quality and reliability of relevant reporting and analytics Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and take the lead on implementing action plans REQUIREMENTS Bachelors Degree in FinanceAccounting Minimum 5 years of relevant financial analysis experience with increasing responsibilities Strong Excel Skills and experience in ERP systems; Power BI and Microsoft D365 is a plus Strong ability to solve problems prioritize and multitask Strong written and verbal communication skills and executive presence Ownership accountability and ability to influence others Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships across functions The suggested pay range for this role depending upon experience is between 125K 140K with bonus potential IND123 Balchem is committed to a workplace culture that values and promotes diversity inclusion equal employment opportunities and a work environment free of harassment and hostility
