impact What We Are Building The Atlas Innovation Team develops modern AI enabled full stack software that accelerates operational decision making and enhances mission outcomes As part of our team youll work with internal stakeholders and mission users to bring new capabilities from concept to productionrapidly iterating integrating user feedback and pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the national security domain We build solutions end to end cloud infrastructure backend services frontend interfaces and AI powered features that help operators work faster smarter and more effectively About the Role As a Full Stack Developer on the Atlas Innovation Team you will architect build and deploy mission critical capabilities used by national security customers You will collaborate directly with end users understand their operational challenges and translate those insights into intuitive impactful software solutions This role places you at the forefront of Atlas Techs mission innovation efforts Youll ship features frequently solve complex technical problems and contribute to new products that will support our nations most essential missions US citizenship is a requirement for this position What Youll Do Day to Day Define scope and deliver full stack features across the Innovation Teams product roadmapEngage with users and mission partners to uncover pain points and translate them into well designed technical solutionsArchitect and implement scalable cloud infrastructure in support of new and existing applicationsBuild intuitive frontend interfaces and robust backend servicesIdentify areas for technical and process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance our development workflowsCollaborate across engineering product and mission engagement teams to deliver high impact capabilitiesEnsure solutions meet high standards of quality performance reliability and securitySupport rapid prototyping iteration and deployment in dynamic operational environmentsWhat Were Looking For Proven experience as a full stack engineer or similar roleStrong proficiency with our core tech stack AWS cloud infrastructure Python TypeScript ReactNextjs PostgreSQL CICD tools GitHub Actions CodePipeline etc IaC tools CDKTerraform DockerFamiliarity with authenticationauthorization frameworksComfortable using AI assisted development toolsStrong desire to build meaningful mission driven technologyContinuous learning mindset and willingness to experiment iterate and innovateAbility to work onsite with customers approximately 25 of the time travel coveredNice to Have Successful AI integrationExperience in a startup or startup like environmentExperience in government defense or national security settingsBackground supporting air gapped or high security operational environmentsAWS certifications eg Solutions ArchitectExperience building new applications from the ground upAbility to map mission priorities to technical requirements and vice
