Courtesy Clerk is responsible for greeting the customer and asking if they would like a bag, Bagging the customer's groceries properly and safely to ensure the product they are purchasing remains at 100% satisfaction by the time they arrive at their destination Helping all customers out to their car to properly unload their groceries into their vehicle Returning all unattended shopping carts, inside and outside, to the designated cart retrieval area Performing frequent "bathroom checks" to ensure facilities are clean and fully stocked for customers and employees Performing other janitorial duties such as "floor sweeps" and "clean ups" and any other janitorial duties assigned by the manager Keeping all checkstands stocked full with plastic and paper bags Performing "price checks" as needed for any cashier Performing a variety of stocking tasks designated by the manager

Courtesy clerks may be required to stock shelves, build displays, bag groceries for customers, unload trucks, organize the back room and clean store areas. Courtesy clerks are also responsible for providing fast, friendly, “check out experience” to our customers. They will greet and assist customers in locating products in the store. Utility Clerk I is responsible for greeting the customer when they arrive at the checkstand, Ensures each item the customer has is scanned and rung up through the checkstand properly Ensures Courtesy Clerk is at their checkstand to bag the customer's groceries and help them out to their vehicle Performs cash handling duties: taking cash, counting back change properly, ensures till is balanced before and after use, uses resources on large bills to reveal couterfeit bills, endorses checks, follows company's check cashing policies and procedures Maintains a clean and organized work station.
