This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.What steps should you take if you suspect you’ve received a fraudulent text?

• Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
• If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

• Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
• Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Valve Actuation Technician Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position

• $18.00 /hour

• Full Time work available

• First Shift (Monday through Thursday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)

• Receiving incoming freight and verify which open project the shipment applies to.

• Work closely with inside and outside sales regarding order status and work in progress.

• Once all components are received, assemble valve actuation packages, calibrate actuators on/off or modulating with 4-20mA.

• Learn and become proficient in all electric, pneumatic, and electrohydraulic actuators within our product mix.

• Answering incoming technical calls for phone support and troubleshooting.

• Organize shop workflow and staging areas for assembly.

• Keep a clean workspace.

• Ability to make deliveries locally and throughout the Permian Basin.

Valve Actuation Technician Qualifications:

• Oilfield production facility experience and understanding.

• Knowledge of oilfield valves and operation.

• Experience with electric and pneumatic valve actuators.

• Experience working with electricity and wiring diagrams.

• Experience with hand tools.

• Able to travel to field locations for day trips.

• Must have clean driving record.

• Able to lift 75 Lbs.

• Applicant may be subject to a background check

• Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report

• Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
