Title: Sr Electrical Engineer
Location: Olathe, KS
Pay Range: $50 to 53 Hr.Competitive salary commensurate with experienceIntroduction Join our aerospace team and contribute to the design, development, and integration of innovative repair solutions for advanced electronic avionics equipment. As a Senior Electrical Engineer within our Global Repair & Overhaul Engineering organization, you will play a key role in sustaining and expanding our Avionics Repair & Overhaul business through engineering problem solving, cost reduction initiatives, and repair capability growth. This role involves enhancing diagnostic processes and developing repair improvements at the circuit card level.Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (engineering, technology, science, or related field)
  • 3 years of experience in an engineering role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of electrical design principles and practices

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex hardware issues
  • Understanding of aerospace industry standards
  • Innovation and conceptual thinking to drive technology and process improvements
  • Knowledge of avionics systems (e.g., displays, instruments, flight controls, radios, GPS, autopilot, weather radar, transponders, TCAS, EGPWS, recorders)
  • Familiarity with FAR 21 (OEM) and FAR 145 (repair) regulations
  • Understanding of DO 178, DO 254, and DO 160 guidelines
  • Ability to learn and adhere to import/export regulations (EAR/ITAR)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and validate unit level and circuit card–level failure data
  • Diagnose complex technical issues and develop creative, practical engineering solutions
  • Collaborate with repair technicians to understand existing workflows and identify opportunities for improved repair methods
  • Research, evaluate, and propose product and process improvements using electronics and engineering fundamentals
  • Identify and implement opportunities for repair cost reduction and productivity enhancements
  • Expand avionics repair capability through development and deployment of new repair processes
  • Coordinate with product design engineering, test engineering, and service center teams to resolve issues involving product modifications, upgrades, and repair development efforts
  • Drive standardization of repair and test procedures across multiple sites to improve consistency and efficiency
  • Provide clear communication on findings, status updates, and resolutions to internal stakeholders
