Sr Outside Sales Manager
Job Description This role leads the Key Account sales organization within the HVAC distribution channel, responsible for driving growth through top-tier distributor partners. The leader in this role will hire, coach, and retain a high-performing team focused on executing channel strategies, growing market share, and supporting new product adoption. Responsibilities include overseeing promotional planning, monthly forecasting, and alignment with internal sales and marketing efforts. The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration, development of executive-level customer relationships, and hands-on leadership through trade events, trainings, and joint sales calls. A data-driven approach, competitive analysis, and strategic account alignment is essential to delivering results and supporting Resideo’s broader growth objectives.
Your team member’s responsibilities include driving sales of products, systems, and services to a variety of HVAC Distribution customers. The customer channel will be focused on the HVAC Distribution Channel. You will collaborate with management to develop sales budgets and selling plans for your team.
You will gather and analyze competitive intelligence and market trends and create insights that will inform our product development process and our forecasting process. You will work with management and engage in the Integrated Business Planning process to assure accurate forecasts.
You will identify and generate sales opportunities and work to close new customers and business on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will work remotely near a major airport with the ability to travel up to 70% of the time.

Hiring Salary Range : The typical hiring salary for this role, ranges from USD $111,000.0 to $165,600.0 per year but varies by specific work location. For example, the hiring salary for this role in Melville, NY is $133,200.0 to $198,720.0 per year and New York City, NY is $138,750.0 to $207,000.0 . Within a range, Resideo determines base pay for an individual based on various factors, including market conditions, skills, and experience.
Incentive Eligible (SIP) : This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus of up to 60% of your annual salary, and prorated based on hire date. Attaining your sales target qualifies you for 100% of your annual sales incentive, while surpassing sales targets during the performance period enables you to earn additional incentive pay.
