Guided by our values of integrity, respect, accountability and excellence, we use leading science and technology to move fiber-based packaging forward.The opportunity: The Senior Manager – Invoice to Cash plays a critical role of supporting the full cycle of the I2C activities in the accounting operations organization. This individual contributor role will be reporting to the Director of Invoice to Cash and will be working closely with functional managers (billing, cash app, collection) and business partners across various areas. This position is responsible for providing leadership to the full invoice to cash cycle by ensuring the people, process and systems are all aligned.How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

  • Effectively manage people, develop teams, and coach team members with a team-oriented approach

  • Full understanding of I2C functionality and processes, including Credit, Billing, Collections, Cash Application, Dispute Management

  • Effective organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities

  • Partner with functional managers to identify opportunities to streamline and standardize I2C processes with a focus to provide value to the business.

  • Oversee and accountable for the completeness and accuracy of all I2C activities month end closing processes; data reconciliation between the subledger vs general ledger and the resolution of data discrepancies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly convey complex business concepts to executive audiences

  • Ensuring policy compliance and optimal use of WestRock tools to effectively yield highest productivity and financial results

  • Foster a strong customer service culture where continuous improvement is the foundation. Develop collaborative relationships with the functional teams supported to ensure the flow of customer feedback

  • Oversee / comply with SOX controls and GAAP to ensure a solid internal and external control

  • Other projects and initiatives to support the company’s strategy.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field from an accredited university, MBA and/or CPA is desired.
  • 5-10 years of progressive roles in invoice to cash organization, preferably within a shared service or

large company environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and experience leading process improvement initiatives.
  • Deadline orientated, able to execute strict deadlines and timelines
  • Strong leadership skills and executive presence
  • System savvy – able to pull and manipulate data for a variety of purposes in a complex systems landscape. Experience with JD Edwards, Blackline, QlikView, Hyperion, ServiceNow and Blueprism would be ideal.
  • Customer service / continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills – listening, compiling facts and building consensus to bring conclusion to issues.
  • Strong project and change management skills, preferably experience implementing shared services.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable and able to perform in a rapidly changing environment.
