Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license (state-specific for GA)
• RRT credential preferred; CRT may be considered based on facility requirements
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent respiratory therapy experience (preferred)
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a high-acuity environment

Responsibilities:

• Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders or cardiopulmonary issues
• Administer aerosol medications, oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy, and other respiratory treatments
• Perform and monitor ventilator management, CPAP/BiPAP, and emergency airway procedures
• Conduct diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gasses (ABGs) and pulmonary function tests
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop and implement patient care plans
• Monitor patient responses and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained, sanitized, and functioning
• Respond to rapid response and code blue situations as needed
