[Remote] Software Developer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. UNITY Systems is an innovative research team focused on drug discovery and AI applications. They are seeking software developers to design and support the scientific computing infrastructure that powers next-generation applications in this field.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-performance scientific workflows and data pipelines for computational drug discovery.
- Build, maintain, and optimize cheminformatics tools, algorithms, and molecular modeling software.
- Design and scale backend systems for large chemical databases and high-throughput analysis.
- Integrate third-party computational chemistry, docking, and virtual screening software.
- Engineer visualization tools to support scientists in data interpretation.
- Troubleshoot, document, and improve scientific software environments.
Skills
- Strong programming skills in Python and C/C
- Expertise in one or more of the following: Cheminformatics software development, Workflow engineering and automation, Cluster architectures & high-performance data-parallel computing, Virtual screening, docking, or computer-aided molecular design, Large-scale scientific database management
- Familiarity with Linux/UNIX environments
- Background in pharma, biotech, or computational sciences
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Exceptional developers without formal scientific training are also encouraged to apply.
