Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.What steps should you take if you suspect you’ve received a fraudulent text?

  • Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
  • If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure – how to recognize a scam

  • Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
  • Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Quality Control Inspector, Short Term Details:

  • Temp-to-Hire position

  • $22.00 to $24.00 /hour

  • Full Time work available

  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)

  • Perform in-process inspections and document results by completing detailed reports and records

  • Measure product dimensions utilizing coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and other metrology instruments

  • Support manufacturing engineering with continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline shop floor processes and implementing best practices. Disposition of products and materials that fail to meet quality requirements

  • Read and understand blueprints, bubble drawings, plans, specifications, working with ERP systems to track/trace raw material

  • Interfacing with Engineering, Quality, Production teammates to communicate quality standards and address issues in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned

Quality Control Inspector, Short Term Qualifications:

  • 1 years related experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem solving abilities and ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions

  • Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) as it relates to mechanical parts.

  • Good math and technical skills. Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.

  • Proven ability to work well independently or on a team. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

  • Quality inspection experience in a research and development environment, aerospace and defense, and/or comparable industry

  • Applicant may be subject to a background check

  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
