Assists other operators by loading WIP into manufacturing machines, unloading, and packing finished product, making boxes, and loading skids.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Catch product after the printing, affixing, or shrink wrap processes

Verify sequence numbers are correct

Assemble empty boxes as needed
-
Verify box count and package product per job ticket
-
Assist Operators in locating product
-
Understand and follow Quality Control requirements for each job

Ensure product data integrity
-
Maintains clean and orderly workspace
-
Follows product flow instructions
-
Performs other job duties as assigned Performs other job duties as assigned.

Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to change

Able to work well in a team environment

Demonstrate knowledge of or ability to learn safety rules and procedures, and operating policies and procedures

SAFE WORK REQUIREMENTS:

PPE: Safety Glasses, Ear Plugs or Earmuffs, Safety Shoes, Gloves when required, Hard Hats, and any other PPE Required based on the job or task.

Compliance with Smurfit Westrock’s employment policies, handbook, and workplace safety policies, rules, and procedures.

Submission of Safety Concerns and Safety Work Order / Incident Reporting and Learning / Basic understanding of the Safety Excellence System

Follow the site management (General Manager, Plant Manager, Department Manager, Shift Supervisor) assignments for completing tasks and managing programs as part of the Safety Excellence System.

Must follow Training Matix assigned in the Learning and Development System. Training could be assigned Annually, Quarterly or at the time of a new process / procedure.
