Statement of Work:
The purpose of this request is to respond to a Request for Quote from the Railroad Retirement Board for assistance with mainframe staffing
Task Description:
The Mainframe CICS admin will be responsible for all installation, maintenance, and monitoring of all CICS regions to meet/exceed key business measurements. Additionally, the admin will be part of a 4-person team, assisting and backing each other on DB2 and RACF if needed.
- Recent experience working with the Railroad Retirement Board (1-5 years)
- Install and support CICS software products upon RRB request
- Test CICS software products, and related applications to ensure requested functionality is available
- Monitor and maintain licensing for CICS specific monitoring software provided by RRB
- Monitor mutually agreed upon metrics for CICS
- Participate in CICS software testing to validate system functionality, connectivity, and execution of IVP
- Provide performance-reporting package regarding CICS utilization / consumption
- Report incidents to CICS software product manufacturer regarding supported software products
- Maintain requirements for configuration provided by the RRB
- Perform CICS configuration
- Maintain all CICS software at a release level that is supported by the respective software vendor under the following conditions:
- Contractor s staff to provide a supported release in a timely manner
- RRB will work with the Contractor to provide reasonable test environment and implementation time to apply maintenance and/or perform upgrade of supported software
Required skills/Level of Experience :
- Mid-Level or higher CICS admin experience (3+ years)
- General understanding DB2 and (RACF, 2+ years)
- Client interaction experience (3+ years). (Federal client experience a plus)
- Experience working with the Railroad Retirement Board (1+ years)
Nice to have skills:
- Client communication client interaction (2+ years)
- Working experience with a small team, in a very stable environment (2+years)
- Positive attitude, flexible able to work in fast-paced environment (5+ years).
- Cloud certification and experience (2+ years)
