Title: Java AWS

Location: Dallas, TX

Skills Required:

AWS / Cloud:

  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications on AWS using IaC (Terraform and/or CloudFormation) and container platforms (ECS or EKS).
  • Strong with core AWS services: EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, Route 53, Load Balancers, and security best practices.
  • Solid grasp of scaling, high availability, DNS, S3 storage classes, and S3 encryption methods.
  • Able to explain architecture decisions clearly and logically.

Java / Backend:

  • Strong fundamentals in core Java, concurrency, collections, immutability, and thread safety.
  • Experience with REST APIs, microservices, OAuth, and Spring.
  • Understanding of Kafka basics, mocking frameworks (Mockito/PowerMock), and common caching frameworks.
  • Capable of discussing JPA/Hibernate, JDBC batch processing, XML parsers, thread dumps, synchronization, and class/method design choices.
