We’re looking for an energetic and versatile Cook to join a small, fast-paced walk-up shack. You’ll be responsible for cooking food to order, managing the kitchen, and helping with cashier duties and taking orders as needed. EXPERIENCE REQUIREDWhat’s in it for you? Food Shack Cook Details:

  • Temporary position

  • $19.00 /hour

  • Full Time work available

  • Weekend work required

  • Various shifts available (Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00am to 10:30pm)

  • Prepare and cook food items according to our menu and recipes.

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work area.

  • Take customer orders and provide excellent customer service when performing cashier duties.

  • Ensure the proper handling, storage, and sanitation of food and kitchen equipment.

  • Monitor food inventory and assist with stock rotation as needed.

  • Work as a team with other kitchen and front-line staff to provide a smooth, efficient service.

  • Manage customer orders, handle cash, and use POS systems for transactions.

  • Handle any other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

Shifts & Schedule: Operating Hours: Tuesday to Thursday: 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM Friday to Saturday: 11:00 AM – 10:30 PM Sunday: 12:00 PM – 9:30 PM Day Off: MondayShifts will vary depending on business needs, with the possibility of overtime required.Food Shack Cook Qualifications:

  • Previous cooking experience required.

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

  • Ability to multitask and switch between cooking and customer service duties.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and work in a hot, busy kitchen.

  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends.

  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
